Miami New Times on Marc Sarnoff

Reply to the staff writer of Miami New Times, Mr. Francisco Alvarado,

Dear Francisco,

With interest I have read the article in the NewTimes. I can’t say that I am an avid reader of your publication but since it’s free, it is understandable that your articles have to please the people advertising in your magazine, i.e. Mr. John El-Masry (owner of Barracuda, Moes and Cristabelle’s)

As a real estate agent in Coconut Grove and a resident for 18 years I am rather pleased with the current state of affairs – especially since property prices have maintained well above average in our part of the city. In case you are a homeowner, it might be of importance to you, since this is most people’s single largest investment in their lives. It is fair to say that Coconut Grove residents outnumber the restaurant owners. So, the question is: “How many homeowners in Coconut Grove are interested in consuming alcohol between the hours of 3 to 5 a.m. and keep up with their mortgage payments?”.

Both, Mr. Sarnoff and Mr. El-Masry are long time acquaintance of mine and based on their track record, they are both way above average in their profession and excel many of their competitors or predecessors.

I wish both of them much success in the future.

Regards,

Izzy Buholzer
